India’s strong medal campaign at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan continued on September 25, with the country’s overall medal tally reaching 22. India has so far won two gold, nine silver and 11 bronze medals across multiple sporting disciplines.

India’s women’s cricket team secured a gold medal, while the shooting pair of Kamaljeet and Suruchi Singh added another gold for the country in the 10m air pistol mixed team event.

Several Indian athletes have also contributed silver medals across different competitions. Among them are Mirabai Chanu, Elavenil Valarivan, Himanshu Dhillon, Naorem Roshibina Devi, Rudrankksh Patil and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar.
