Former India coach Sanjay Bangar has praised Vaibhav Suryavanshi for his fearless and explosive batting against world-class bowlers in the Indian Premier League.
In the match held in Guwahati on March 30, Rajasthan Royals secured a dominant 8-wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings.
The highlight of the match was the outstanding performance of young batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who smashed a half-century in just 15 balls. He scored 52 runs off 17 deliveries before getting out, playing a crucial role in Rajasthan Royals’ victory.
Speaking about his innings, Sanjay Bangar said that Suryavanshi showed no fear while facing top-quality bowling attacks and dominated them with confidence. He noted that the youngster handled international-level bowlers with ease.
Bangar specifically mentioned that Suryavanshi played comfortably against Matt Henry, known for his effective new-ball spells, and also performed well against the swing bowling of Khaleel Ahmed.
He further added that Suryavanshi did not spare bowlers like Anshul Kamboj, who is known for his consistent line and length, and mystery spinner Noor Ahmad.
According to Bangar, Suryavanshi kept world-class bowlers under pressure throughout his innings, and his performance was truly impressive. He also expressed confidence that this IPL season could turn out to be a breakthrough year for the young cricketer.
