Earthquake Hits Northwestern China
A strong earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale struck the Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in northwestern China.
According to preliminary reports, the earthquake resulted in the death of one person, while four others sustained serious injuries. Emergency response teams were deployed to the affected areas, and authorities began assessing the extent of the damage.
The tremor was felt across several nearby regions, prompting local residents to evacuate buildings as a precautionary measure.
Powerful Quake Shakes Indonesia
In a separate incident, a 6.7-magnitude earthquake struck near the city of Palu in Indonesia's Central Sulawesi Province.
The powerful tremor caused panic among residents and led to structural damage in several areas. Reports indicate that multiple buildings suffered damage, with some structures partially collapsing due to the impact of the quake.
Local disaster management authorities have initiated inspections and relief operations while monitoring the possibility of aftershocks.
